I grew up in North Yorkshire and played for York Youth, Yorkshire Amateur FC and Farsley Celtic before moving to London to study where I found myself playing for Epping in 1987. I played for the club until I was 40, scoring 329 goals over 22 seasons across all the teams. During my time at the club I have enjoyed many roles including manager of the 1st, reserves and 3rd teams, fixtures secretary and Chairman. My personal highlights include scoring 7 in one game v Ramsden and 5 second half goals at Stonards in a 5-2 win v then top of the league local rivals Ongar Town, on my Birthday, in the late 1990s. My greatest Epping Town pleasure of course is seeing the hardcore local supporters on the terrace at Stonards enjoying football in the Town! COYET!
I Played for Pontardawe Town FC back in Swansea in the Welsh league, then I moved to play in Australia for 3 yrs with Moreland City FC (Captain) and Avondale FC. then back to the UK to Saffron Walden in 2013 as I met my wife in Australia who is from Saffron Walden. My first season in England was with Saffron Walden FC Where I played a full season in 2014 before moving to Stansted FC for 3 yrs before work commitments cut short playing time in the last season so ended up signing for Foxton FC in the Kershaw Premier for a few months before starting the management journey this season.
The Club is delighted to be a Charter Standard club as awarded by the FA, we as the Epping Town Football Club Committee are committed to the highest standards on and off the pitch and aim to always improve and strive to better ourselves
