Epping Town recorded their fourth successive victory in Senior Division Four of the Essex Olympian League with a 5-2 win over Galleywood Reserves at Stonards Hill.
Glen Warwick opened the scoring before Liam Clifton doubled Epping’s advantage and an own goal put the home side 3-0 up at half-time.
New signing Joe Keith, the former Colchester United and Leyton Orient player, made his Epping Town debut playing the first half before being replaced by Alex Paraskeva who scored from the penalty spot, and then netted a header either side of two consolation goals for the visitors.
With Buckhurst Hill Reserves not playing today, the victory closed the gap between Buckhurst Hill and fourth placed Epping Town to two points with Epping having a game in hand.
League leaders Corinthians were 5-1 winners at Old Barkabbeyans while second-placed Dagenham United won 6-1 at home to Catholic United.
Epping have two games in hand on Corinthians and five games in hand over Dagenham United.
Next Saturday Epping Town are at home to Catholic United Reserves (2pm kick-off).
