Epping Town returned to winning ways – having gone four matches in Division Two of the Essex Olympian League without a win – with a 7-1 demolition of Ryan FC at Stonards Hill recreation ground.
But the victory could have been all the more comprehensive had the home side put away a host of changes in both halves.
Epping Town were 2-1 ahead at the break thanks to an Eden Nelson brace with the visitors finding the net in the final seconds of the half.
The floodgates then opened for the home side late on in the second half as Brad Gayer, Glen Warwick – who followed up to score after his penalty kick was saved – Daniel Garfinkle and James Odhiamba with two goals secured the victory.
Next Saturday Epping Town travel to Wakering Sports (2pm kick off).
