Epping Town are up to second in Essex Olympian League Senior Division Two after a 19-0 victory at home to Westhamians.
Four Epping players – Taner Dagyaran, Connor Hammond, Alex Paraskeva and Tommie Turner – each scored a hat-trick while there were also goals from Joey May, Lindisipho Mtyanda, Brad Gayer, Ryan Folan, Eben Rowledge, Joe Thomas and Joe Killingback.
Epping Town were 6-0 ahead at half-time but another good-sized crowd at Stonards Hill would not have expected the second-half onslaught which sees Epping Town maintain their unbeaten start to the season in both the league and Senior League Cup.
Epping Town manager Billy Cove said: “This was a game where we all had to stay disciplined and get the job done.
“Westhamians were unfortunately only able to field ten players but we still had a job to do as they had some very good players, including Epping Town old boy Bill Bradley.”
He added: “The game did have the feel of a pre-season friendly but you can only beat what’s in front of you and we did that comfortably in the end which I was very happy about.
“We had another decent crowd and I’d like to thank the Epping Town community for showing their support.
“We hope to see them all again next week, and we’ll try to put on another good show for them.”
Next Saturday Epping Town host Harold Wood Reserves in a league fixture, with a 2.30pm kick off.
